Musicians use the environment that surrounds them. Be it the city lights or the stillness of the outdoors, they draw on it and in conjunction with their instruments they make music, using either their hands or their breath. Just as surfers do out in the deep, a combination of board and wave become the canvass on which they paint.
The sanctity of sisterhood cannot be denied - all women are united by a common soul thread, how much stronger is the thread between surfers? Two young women share their passion for surfing and offer some insights into the feelings of our younger generation...
Get behind the wheel and take a trip to Mossel Bay with us. Experience fog horns, joy riders and hammer heads as we divide the Boere Wors Curtain.
For us landlubbers out there, the sensation of a rolling deck beneath your feet can be rather disorientating. I kept my mouth shut and my hand firmly on the rail while I got the pirate low-down on life at sea for a surfer.

We have a chat with Shannon McLaughlin from Liquid Girls magazine and see how the girls are shaping up against the guys.
OK people, let's face the facts… either you love us or you hate us. Either way we're happy just as long as you're talking about us!

Surf spots around the planet all have a few underground rippers who don't care about being famous or winning competitions - they surf because they love to. In OverXposed we profile these diamonds in the rough…
Ever heard the phrase “Take a trip down memory lane”? Surfers don't do that, the only lane we use is the one that leads to the ocean, instead we talk a walk down the beach where the only thing we leave behind are our footprints…

Missioning up the West Coast is always an interesting experience. We scored some good right-handers at this hollow beach-break… Long Beach needs no introduction, but take a look at the variety of rides and styles possible at one beach-break…
We missioned up to Eland's Bay hoping to write an article about over-crowding and discovered there were only a handful of guys up for the weekend so we scored some decent waves with warm water… Two clips taken at Nine Miles and Kalk Bay during some of the good swell that we had during July…
As promised, Darryl kas kindly provided you with some pretty sick footage of Kalk Bay. Watch the guys dropping into some bombs then getting the crap beaten out of them…
Sunset Reef: 17 April 2006 - A handful of the Cape Town Tow-in Crew were out at Sunset Reef despite a ferocious South-Easter. The swell pulled in and these guys were riding some huge shit! Be sure to pick your jaw up off the floor when you're done watching…
More like 3 - 4ft guys
