A young surfer was confronted after a session by three bigger guys on the beach, anyone of whom could have easily pummeled him senseless in the blink of an eye - and all the signs were there that they had this in mind.

The kid was quite a bright lad and believed in settling things without any violence…

He unstrapped his leash and backed away a few steps, drew a line in the sand with the nose of his board and then backed away a little bit more.

He looked the biggest guy right in the eye and without flinching said “Now YOU just dare step across that line!”

The big guy's mates just laughed as he confidently stepped across the line and asked the kid “So what you gonna do boy?”

The kid just grinned and told him “Now we're both on the same side!”

Whether or not the kid got bliksemed I don't know, but think on this: the reason a dog has so many friends is because he wags his tail instead of his tongue!
